Lester Bolstad, a student at the University of Minnesota, defeated Carl. F. Kauffmann, of Pittsburgh, 3 and 2, in the final at Grover Cleveland Park, Buffalo. At the time of his victory, Bolstad was 18 years 3 months of age.
