Kauffmann, now 30 years old, won for the third successive year at the Forest Park Municipal Golf Course, St. Louis. He tied for the medal with Milton Soncrant, of Toledo, and Patsy Tiso, of New York, at 151, and went on to beat Soncrant, 4 and 3, in the final.
